Touched by a gentle and serene soul.

Karen Lynn Newberg, 63, of Cumberland passed away peacefully on Friday evening surrounded by loved ones.

She was a loving wife, daughter, mother, nana, aunt, and sister. She was a dear friend and friendly acquaintance to many. She worked for many years at Women and Infants Hospital where she touched many lives.

Karen had a deep appreciation for the simple and beautiful things of our world. She lived a full and complete life. She was a deeply spiritual person who saw the best in all, and always offered her love, a kind word, and assistance to those who needed it most. The world around her and the people she touched have been blessed with her grace.

Karen is survived by her loving husband Larry of 43 years, sons Michael and Mark, and daughter Kristen. Grand children Maddie, Emma, Tre, Tyler, Scarlett and Layla. Mother Barbara Keisling. Sisters Debra, Lisa, and Lori, and brother Earl. Numerous loving nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Earl H. Keisling Sr.

Our family wishes to acknowledge and thank all that gave their precious time. Sent loving notes. Advocated for her, gave gifts, and made contributions in her name. The names are too numerous to mention. The gestures, a testament to a life that was truly well lived.

Thank you all for your love and support.

A memorial will be held on Saturday May 18th from 4:00 - 8:00p.m. at Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Higginson Ave., Lincoln, RI. Burial is private. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Hasbro Children's Hospital, Development Office, PO Box H, Providence, RI 02901, Attention: Oncology Research.
